The DRC was unhappy with their 1992 and will not produce any Montrachet. Those millionaires lucky enough to have access to this rarity, frequently the most concentrated Chardonnay made in the world, should be pleased with the 1991 and 1990. NOTE: I recently had the good fortune to taste all the DRC Le Montrachet's from 1979 through 1989. I thought the 1986, followed by 1983, 1979, and 1989, to be show-stoppers. The 1989 has the potential to be another 1986. The 1983 is phenomenally powerful and intense. I also enjoyed the 1982 and 1985, although the latter wine is backward, with high acidity and a monolithic personality. It will be interesting to see how much complexity develops. - Information 商 品 名name Domaine d'Auvenay Meursault Les Narvaux 1996 蔵 元wine maker ドメーヌ・ドーヴネ / Domaine d'Auvenay 産 地terroir フランス/France>ブルゴーニュ地方/Bourgogne>コート・ド・ボーヌ地区/Cote de Beaune>ムルソー村/Meursault 格 付 けclass A.O.C ムルソー / Meursault ヴィンテージvintage 1996年 品 種cepage シャルドネ100% 種 類 / 味わいtype/taste 白white / 辛口dry 容 量net volume 750ml 輸 入importer リーファー輸入 定温倉庫保管ドメーヌ・ドヴネ(Domaine d'AUVENAY)は、ルロワと並ぶラルー・ビゼ・ルロワの至宝と言えます。このドメーヌは、彼女の一族が元々所有していたドメーヌであるため、ドメーヌ・ルロワよりも古く、最も長い生産の歴史を持つ、彼女にとって重要なドメーヌです。長年にわたり、ラルーは才能豊かで献身的な人々に囲まれてきました。フレデリック・ロメール(Frédéric Roemer)は30年以上にわたって彼女のそばで畑やセラーで働き、ジル・デスプレ(Gilles Desprez)は長年にわたって彼女のワインの流通を監督しています。 ドメーヌ・ドーブネのサクセス・ストーリーは、1868年、フランソワ・ルロワが設立したネゴシアン、メゾン・ルロワから始まりました。フランソワ・ルロワの曾孫にあたるラルー・ビゼ・ルロワは、1955年に家業に参加。他のネゴシアンとは異なり、メゾン・ルロワの基準は、ワインを販売する前に可能な限り長期間熟成させること。また、ルロワの名を冠したワインの品質を保証するため、ラルー・ビゼ・ルロワは毎年何百ものワインをブラインドでテイスティングし、メゾンで購入するワインを決めていました。 オーヴネイ邸は1966年、マダム・ラルー・ルロワによって、盛大なワインの試飲会や晩餐会が催されるようになりました。才能あるシェフや政治家が招待され、ブルゴーニュが提供する最高のものを揃えました。ピエール・ボキューズやトロワグロ兄弟からの数多くの手紙には、ドーヴネイで開催された素晴らしい試飲会や、そのようなイベントに参加することがいかに特別なことであったかが記されています。当時、ドメーヌ・ルロワは存在せず、ドメーヌ・ドーヴネイは単に自社ワインを生産していただけで、ラルーの主な業務はメゾン・ルロワにありました。 しかし、年を重ねるごとにメゾン・ルロワのラベルにふさわしい厳格な基準を満たすワインを造る生産者を見つけることが難しくなっていきました。そこでラルーは、メゾン・ルロワの自社畑を拡大する決断を下したのです。1988年、彼女はヴォーヌ・ロマネのシャルル・ノエラとジュヴレ・シャンベルタンのフィリップ・レミーの畑を購入し、ドメーヌ・ルロワを設立。これらの購入は、1988年にメゾン・ルロワの株式の一部を日本の高級デパート高島屋に売却することで実現しました。 1988年まで、ラルーはドメーヌ・ド・ラ・ロマネ・コンティの主要株主の一人として有名だでした。彼女の父、アンリ・ルロワは、DRCが困難に直面していた1942年にドメーヌの半分を購入。その結果、ネゴシアン事業に加え、ルロワ家はDRCの国際的な独占販売代理店(英国市場を除く)となったのです。当時、ラルーはドメーヌのワイン造りにも携わっていましたが、役員会は彼女の関与を肯定的にとらえていなかったようです。カリスマ性のあるラルーは、革新的な手法を導入したいと考えていた事も一因しているかも知れません。 ドメーヌ・ルロワで、ラルーはついに畑とセラーで自分の考えを実践することができるようになりました。90年代半ばにはアメリカのワイン・スペクテーター誌がドメーヌ・ルロワのワインの素晴らしさを紹介し、その品質はよりアロマティックで複雑でないにせよ、ほとんどのDRCワインと同等であると言及したのです。その上、ラルー・ビーズ・ルロワが輸出市場でDRCワインを独占的に販売していたため、DRC理事会と彼女の間に緊張が生じてしまい、1992年に取締役から解任されてしまいました。それ以来、マダム・ルロワはメゾン・ルロワ、ドメーヌ・ドーヴネ、ドメーヌ・ルロワに全力を注いでいます。 ドメーヌ・ドーヴネは、16の異なるアペラシオンにまたがる4ヘクタールのブドウ畑を所有しており、シュヴァリエ・モンラッシェ・グラン・クリュ、クリオ・バタール・モンラッシェ・グラン・クリュ、バタール・モンラッシェ・グラン・クリュなど、名高いアペラシオンがあります。マダム・ルロワのシュヴァリエ・モンラッシェ・グラン・クリュは、多くの人にとって偉大な白ブルゴーニュの典型であると言えます。 そして、一流の畑から造られる数多くのワインがあるにもかかわらず、ドーヴネについて語る際に必ず話題に上るワインのひとつが、彼らのアリゴテです。長らくこの地域の生産者に見過ごされてきたアリゴテは、丁寧に扱えば魅力的なブドウになることをマダム・ルロワが証明しているからです。 ドメーヌのブドウ栽培方法は妥協がなく、細心の注意を払い、非常に厳しいものです。ラルーは、ルロワとダヴネでシーズン中60人ものスタッフを雇っていおり、ブドウ畑の労働者たちは厳しい剪定を行い、枯れたブドウの木をドメーヌの苗木から大量に選んで植え替えます。さらに、すべての畑でトレサージュ(生育期に垣根を作る代わりにキャノピーをロール状に巻いていく代替的な管理手法)が行われます。マダム・ルロワは、ブドウの木に垣根を作ることは有害であり、収穫までブドウの木の成長を妨げないことが重要だと強く信じているのです。ブドウの木は高い位置で管理されることで、天候や気候の変化に適応しやすくなります。 その結果、ブドウの木の収量はブルゴーニュで最も低く、1ヘクタールあたり平均15ヘクトリットルとなります。しかしそれ以上に重要なのは、ブドウ畑でのハードワークが、魔法のようなエネルギーを持つピュアで凝縮したワインを生み出すということです。 ヴォーヌ・ロマネにあるドメーヌ・ルロワのワイナリーよりも、ドメーヌ・ドーヴネのメゾンの方が200メートルほど高い位置にあるのは興味深いことです。このわずかな違いは、セラーがより寒いことを意味しています。ドーヴネの赤ワインが、ルロワのワインに比べて若いうちは表情が乏しいと思われがちなのは、このためです。ドーヴネの赤ワインは本来の良さが現れるまで時間が必要なのです。 ラルーがワイナリーで行った最も重要な革新のひとつは、果柄と果梗を分けることる。収穫時、すべての房は徹底的に選別されます。両ドメーヌにまたがるこの緻密な作業を実現するためには、40人のチームが必要です。この途方もない作業の結果、完全除梗ワインと非除梗ワインの完璧なバランス、酸味、タンニン、そして果実味が生まれます。 黒ブドウも白ブドウも、特定の区画に合わせたオーダーメイドの木製の発酵槽に入れられます。醸造のすべての段階は、それぞれのテロワールのアイデンティティを守りたいという願望によって進められており、発酵の温度は、風味をより抽出できるように33℃に達することも。土着酵母のみを使用し、その後、ワインは澱とともに樽に移され、赤も白もすべて新樽で熟成されます。樽は100%フランソワ・フレールの協同組合から調達。ラルーは毎年、フランスで最も希少な森から最高のオークを調達しています。ワインはエレヴァージュの途中で澱引きされ、清澄もろ過もせずに瓶詰めされます。 このような細部へのこだわりを持つラルー・ビーズ・ルロワだからこそ、ドメーヌのドメーヌが毎年素晴らしいワインを造り出しているのです。
